Using computer vision technology, the system performs image recognition and analysis of pipe couplings, elevators, hydraulic tongs, slips, robotic arms, catwalks, pipe rackers, drawworks, BOPs and other objects, accurately determining object positions to realize real-time automated monitoring of the whole pipe movement and make-up/break-out process, replacing manual judgment and ensuring correct coupling connection and separation. As oilfield drilling and workover operations are carried out in the field where the environment of couplings and pipes varies, the system feeds images of recognized objects under different environmental backgrounds into its self-developed visual training system for training through AI deep learning, iteratively improving the algorithm to reach application-level recognition rates.
