Measures the traveling-block height and speed by means of sensors and vision recognition, and provides audible/visual alarm, emergency braking, automatic deceleration, anti-collision protection against crown strike and string drop (slack-off), soft landing, automatic memory and other functions. All parameters can be transmitted remotely; the system provides various external interfaces for easy communication, linkage and safety interlocking with automated drilling and workover equipment.
